This is a near-professional projector that really impressed us. This Epson doesn’t cost a lot, but it’s surprisingly bright. It packs some 3,000 lumens of brightness. If you don’t understand this spec, it means the brightness is on the higher end. It’s perfect for outdoors because it can project against ambient light. It looks like a regular TV screen at night, and the pictures are clear even during fading daylight. You can get higher levels of clarity with this projector, which makes it suitable for numerous purposes. In addition to the lumen count, it has an impressive resolution too.
This projector has an output resolution of 800×600. It may not sound as good as on a TV screen, but this is a really high number for a projector that costs only several hundred dollars. You can watch movies with picture quality similar to that of a VCD or a regular DVD. It’s that’s good. Also, another great aspect of this device is that it is compatible with a number of gadgets. It works with new smartphones, TVs, gaming consoles, and whatever else that supports HDMI output. We really loved the performance of this projector and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great projector for the home.

The Crenova XPE460 is a very small projector. Regardless, it exceeded our expectations in performance. First of all, the size. It’s super compact and there’s a major advantage to that. You won’t need to set aside a table to set up this projector in the yard or a living room. It also works finely inside RVs on extended vacations. The small size makes it lightweight so it’s convenient to carry inside and outside. We mainly used this projector to watch outdoor movies, but you can use it for other purposes like work-related presentations.
What’s really superb about this projector is the brightness. Whenever you buy an outdoor projector, the spec that matters the most is the brightness. You don’t want moonlight or starlight making the projected picture dim on that romantic movie night now, do you? This projector packs 20% more brightness than a basic LED product. We even watched movies in the daytime and it works really well. This projector is great for watching movies shot in dark settings, like The Dark Knight Rises. Plus, it works with a wireless dongle, so you can project pictures even from a smartphone!

Xinda LCD Multi-Media Portable Video Projector
We’ll say this first: the Xinda LCD projector is not flashy and is not a high-end product. It’s a budget projector that doesn’t even cost $100. So why did we put it on this list? The projector, small and affordable, offers excellent perks for the cheap price tag. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on an outdoor projector, we highly recommend this as a great option. It’s well suited for watching movies with the family in the backyard. It will also last a long time, which surprised us because this is such an inexpensive product.
This projector offers similar display quality as a 3,000-lumen projector. The brightness is comparable to a regular, bigger projector, so you are not really trading down. It can support a screen as big as 100 inches at about 7 feet distance, maximum. That’s more than you can ask for with just $50. The projector supports HDMI, VGA, USB, AV, and SD card input mediums. This projector is like a smaller version of the bigger Crenova mentioned above. The tiny projector is like a little box, and it’s great if you want a highly portable projector. It’s easy to carry around and store in a drawer or a cupboard. Though it is tiny, don’t underestimate the projection power of this little gadget. It can project a big picture on a screen as big as 130 inches from up to 10 feet away. It has a 60-lumen lamp, but the picture quality is comparable to what you get with the bigger Crenova.
If the projector is placed about 6 feet away from the screen, you will get bright and sharp images. We were surprised by the clarity considering this is the mini version. It has a native resolution of 480×320 RGB, which is comparable to regular streaming quality video or VCD quality. It does support Full HD resolution. You can get sharper images with Full HD video, of course. It supports multiple input formats including VGA, HDMI, USB, AV, and SD card. You can play videos directly from a USB stick. The design of this projector really stood out to us from first glance. It’s really sleek and has four little stumps of legs that lift the projector from the surface where it’s placed. It may seem like a useless feature at first. But remember that projectors can get overheated, especially when the lamp has been working for some time. So by lifting, this projector can stay cool until the long movie you are watching ends. The exterior of this projector is also a shiny black, which is not a bad feature to have. It will go nicely in an interior setting.
This projector packs 2,600 lumens of brightness. It’s more than enough for watching outdoor movies in the evenings or at night. In the dark, the projections look especially bright, as if being displayed on a TV screen. It’s a great bargain considering that this unit costs only a couple of hundred dollars. The price is well justified by the features included. This projector also has an inbuilt integrated stereo speaker. The sound is decent enough for a small group of people and will make it unnecessary to move your speakers outside for movie night. This projector supports AV, VGA, USB, SD Card, and HDMI.

Indeed, we were really impressed by how well this projector performed outdoors under various light conditions. We managed to get a decent image quality even when the sun was high in the sky at noon. It’s nearly perfect at night.
